Just look at the photo samples, image quality is beyond poorness, howcome moto continues to make phones??? Someone must teach them to produce user friendly gadgets or they should just leave that area to Nokia and Samsung...

yeah phones gud but ugly design but wat i can say is moto has finaly made a phone wel enough to compete with Nokias crap. Mobile-review review on the ZN5 commneted that its better than the realesed N82 which is currently the best in the market (or so theu say). Best of luck to Moto hope they regain there number 2 position and go on to be no 1:)

Nokia phones can already capture photos in RAW format :)

Tea Vui Huang's DNG Phone Camera

With the "DNG Phone Camera" mobile software, for the first time ever - you can now capture photos directly to the Adobe DNG (Digital Negative) RAW image format from your Nokia camera phone. Previously for the past 4 years, DNG is available only on high-end cameras like Hasselblad & Leica.

ZN5's picture horrible? lol. can one phone meets everyone's expectation? to me, it does better than k850i and slightly on par with n82 if not because of its eye candy effect that brings out the colour. but dont forget, ZN5 has its photo fix.. and it too make its picture look better than previous, according to smape's photo demo.

Why do these Nokia fanboys love to bash on other models? They even invaded the Sony ericsson and apple sites.

Are they insecure or something?
Don't forget that it was motorola that created the first mobile phone, and that is what history says.

Have you guys who always bashing Motorola already try the latest Motorola Phone? Don't always compare with old Motorola Mobile Phone. In Motorola E8, you can look how fast when take a picture use camera until save to external memory? No more than 2 seconds.

Motorola Z6 has processor 624 Mhz and to be the fastest processor for mobile phone. Motorola Razr 2 V8, Motorola Rokr E8, Motorola ZN5 has processor 500 Mhz and to be the second faster processor for mobile phone. Mobile Phone is different than PDA Phone / Smartphone.

> In reply to ??? @ 2008-06-25 15:47 from q{dYCan't you read even a simple review? Have you lost your common sense? Dude, you're seriously way behind the times. Motorola fixed the UI a bloody long time ago. The new platform is MotoMagx, a Linux-Java OS which is proven to be more stable and customizable than even the Nokia's "UNDEFEATABLE" Symbian OS.

And speaking of the camera, the ZN5's Kodak post-processing algorithms (in short, processing software) is way more powerful than the competition so that means better quality pictures. Its optics is of a plastic type Carl Zeiss one which is cheaper yet comparable to the glass versions found in the NSeries. Recent tests show that the Motorola-Kodak ZN5 beat the N82 in camera quality and the Apple iPod in music quality hands down!

Motorola lacks a good UI, (Everytime I use my friends RAZR or my mom's VX200 i cant help but notice the bad menu organization)
The camera seems decent but hwo can anyone compare this to the Nseries? Nokia, SE, Samsung, and LG smoke the ZN5 just by having HSDPA and/or wifi. S60 smartphones generally are pretty good. ZN5 lacks many features that the compitition has and $510, thats asking too much for what it offers

you cant call this inovation from motorola

> In reply to partly @ 2008-06-25 12:31 from mS4BThanks. I was just too brash to say the undefeatables thing. Well, I always perceive non-Motorola competitors as somewhat "untouchable" in the sense that Moto phones can't compete with other phones in any features. This may be the first time Motoorola really shocked the world.

why do people compare this phone with n82? N82 has been out for a while now and this phone hasn't even been released. Its like comparing last years dell with this years gateway.

Every 4 or 5 years, Motorola make innovation for mobile phone. Year 2004, Motorola make innovation the first slimmest mobile phone and that's Motorola V3 Razr. Now year 2008, 4 years for make innovation. Once again, Motorola with Kodak make innovation the best 5 Mega Pixel Camera Phone.
