Samsung D900 review: Slim slider extreme
The slimmest slider in the world already on the market. Samsung D900 (12.9 mm thick when closed) offers almost maximum equipment. It has also been given a special final touch: a 3 megapixel camera and a superb display. Now try to imagine it all in a stylish sliding body. The price, however, is rather high.

Here's how to get rid of the E or G from the screen(GPRS/EDGE will only start when you need them):
1: Dial *#4777*8665# it will autom. take you to "GPRS Tools"
2: Highlight "2: GPRS Detach" then press OK
3: "5: Attach Mode" should be set to "Manual Attach"
Then G/E should now diassapear whenerer not used, some say it should save the battery too.

From the review, when an birthday is entered into a contacts detail, it automatically gets added to the calander.
I have tried it and it does not work. Spoke to the local Samsung helpdesk and they confirmed that the phone does not create a reminder for the birthdays in contacts.
Can anyone confirm or refute this?

ways to prevent the screen from CRACKING:
1.Avoid putting it in ur pocket, smtyms u dont realize the pressure given to the phone if its sandwiched.
2.i usually slide up my phone when i charge it, i think the batt and the heat of the keypad might be a reason because if id buy a standing charger (i dont know what its called hehe.) taking the battery cover off would be a waste of time and man, it so hard to open not touching the front part.
3.don't put the object in metals or smtn that can have heat.keep it in a cool place.
4.maybe u can cover it wd a crystal case.
5.don't over use it or use the music player with a really loud volume (i mean if u play rock music,wd a really loud volume not only it will crack the screen but also the speaker.u know what i mean.
6.this is a precious gem that is kinda fragile, so u take full responsibility to it.to those who stil got the one-piece d9,i hope this helped.CIAO!

To -=pacifichubwency=- $ Si > The G or E just shows you that your G(GPRS)/E(EDGE) is active, these are used/alows you to access the internet through WAP, i don't think you can get rid of them.
