This time of the year it's Korean flagship rumor time, and in this instance the numbers are 8 and 6. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has been rendered on a few occasions, at least once this week too. Not just case renders, but actual cases showed up as well, seemingly official Samsung ones. Battery capacities for the S8 and S8 Plus were also mentioned, and let's just say that they don't sound overly impressive.
The LG G6, on the other hand, has some official teasing action to go with the leaks - no wonder, given that its announcement is actually happening a couple of weeks from now at MWC, while the S8 is a further month away. LG also had some tangible stuff to talk about this week - the two smartwatches Watch Style and Watch Sport were unveiled alongside a brand new Android Wear 2.0 wearable OS.
Back to the rumor mill, two Sony smartphones showed up in blurry dark live images, allegedly the successors to the Xperia XZ and XA. Outside of phones (for now), the Japanese company's sensor division pulled the wraps off a new 21.2MP imager, which is nothing spectacular until you hear it can record 1080p video at 1,000fps. A thousand!
Those seem to be the most interesting stories from the week, but if you sift through the handy list of headlines below, you may find a few others that capture your attention.
