vivo Android Rumors

Last week three upcoming members of vivo's X500 family were spotted in the GSM Association's IMEI database: the X500, X500 Pro, and X500e. But there's a plot twist: it turns out that there's a fourth member coming this year too (before the X500 Ultra will presumably arrive in early 2027).

Ladies and gentlemen, vivo is going the Pro Max route, following in the footsteps of Xiaomi, which of course was 'inspired' by Apple. The aforementioned IMEI database now lists the vivo X500 Pro Max too, and thus that's also definitely coming.

According to one past rumor, the X500 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen, a 50MP main camera using a LOFIC sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and a multispectral sensor. The X500 Pro Max will be the X500 series' premier camera flagship for a few months until the X500 Ultra shows up.

The X500 Pro Max will probably be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9600 SoC, seeing as how the Dimensity 9500 was at the helm in the X300 and X300 Pro from last year.

While they're at it, they should also make the non-max Pro the same size as the regular vanilla flagship just like the brand they took this naming inspiration from.
