HMD Android Rumors

HMD launched the Pulse Pro back in April 2024, and now a refreshed version of the device has shown up at a retailer in Thailand according to a tipster on X. It's called HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition, and it's listed by what appears to be the Nokia Official Shop for THB 4,990 (about $148).

The listing mentions a 120Hz screen, the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset (which it claims is 45% more powerful than before), 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera, and a 50MP selfie camera, with some "AI Camera" branding thrown in for good measure. The design looks identical to the original's, and the phone is pictured in black.

For comparison, the original Pulse Pro has a 6.65-inch 720p screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, the Unisoc T606 chipset, and up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The same tipster had already leaked this phone last week as an upgraded EU version, with a 6.56-inch HD+ 120Hz screen (the size could be a typo), a 50MP main camera with OIS alongside a 2MP sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 20W charging.

The tipster says the Fusion and Crest Max are getting the same "2nd Edition" treatment, the former with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and the latter with the Dimensity 7025. This wouldn't be HMD's first second edition either, since the Nokia C2 2nd Edition came out in 2022.

Interestingly, the Pulse 2 Pro got listed by a Swiss retailer ahead of IFA 2025 but never actually came out. Earlier this month, the same tipster leaked the Pulse 2T Pro with a 6.78-inch OLED 120Hz screen, the Helio G100 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, a 50MP selfie camera, a 6,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, IP64 certification, and a dot matrix display on the back. That seems to be the step above this refreshed model.
