Samsung starts buying Chinese display panels for its mid-range smartphones

Samsung Android Rumors

According to a new report from Korea, Samsung is diversifying its display supply chain. This creates a funny situation where Samsung (Electronics) will stop buying screens from Samsung (Display) for some mid-range devices, instead opting to purchase from CSOT, owned by TCL.

CSOT's panels are at least 20% cheaper than Samsung's, and the move is speculated to be aimed at offsetting rising memory costs by lowering other device costs in the mid-range. Samsung has allegedly ordered 15 million display panels from CSOT, which will be used in the upcoming Galaxy A57 as well as some unnamed upcoming FE handsets which are scheduled to begin production in April (Galaxy S26 FE?).

As you may expect, Samsung Display wasn't very happy with this decision made by Samsung Electronics, and even appealed to higher-ups in the group to reverse it, but wasn't successful.

You haven't proven anything. Look at your own posts, you can't stop being a stubborn brat. Either ways there's no point arguing with you. You can live in your fantasy world where OneUI is the best and nothing comes closer

I firmly believe I have sufficiently proven otherwise. With your stubbornness, there’s no point arguing with you. I rest my case.

Probably you should have admitted that before singing praises about things that exist on other UI's as well. I disagree with your post. Chinese UI's and OneUI both offer customization and features. OneUI isn't superior in any w...
