Way back in December 2016, whistle-blower Edward Snowden asked Twitter to come up with secret or self-destructing DMs. At that time, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey just said it's "reasonable and something we'll think about."

Well, it turns out the company has taken the suggestion seriously, as a new Secret conversation feature has been spotted in the Twitter for Android application package.

The screenshot shared reveals an option to educate you about encrypted conversations, a 'Secret' tag when the mode is on, as well as ability to view encryption keys.
Sadly, there's currently no information on when Twitter plans to roll out the feature.
